The Weekly Wrap: Had Tony Sansom not coerced all of his wives and daughters into running on Saturday, we would be sitting on top of the Women’s Premiership ladder. Instead, we find ourselves licking our wounds from a heart breaking one point loss to the black and white and falling behind by the same margin in the race for the coveted Premiership cup. The Club President has undertaken a forensic analysis of the results and has identified some individuals who need to lift (who shall remain nameless if not blameless). Whilst there was little joy on the team front, there was some solace from the individual results, with wins to Thomas Wilson and Ruby Smee in the 9.6km event and Ava Lindquist in the 5.1km race. Will Harding made his first appearance for the season and narrowly missed making it a quadrella for SBHC, finishing second behind ESAC’s Nikola Costa in the short race. Prue Waters made her debut for Bay, whilst Fraser Conry donned the blue and white for his first Winter Interclub We get a week off to re-group this weekend, with the City to Casino Fun on Sunday, with Interclub resuming on Saturday 24 May with the Snug Handicaps (for which we have Duty Club responsibilities). ...
