The Weekly Wrap:The main event over the past week was the National All Schools Championships in Brisbane in which we had 23 members representing Tasmania.Undoubtedly the highlight of the Championships was Gout Gout’s National Open record in the 200m, which will be a lasting memory for those fortunate enough to witness it live. The highlight from a Club perspective was Violet Owen’s silver medal in the U/16 800m, breaking her own Club record in a time of 2:11.83, followed by bronze in the 1500m.There were numerous personal best performances despite the hot conditions.Interclub resumes this Saturday with Round 7 commencing at 1pm.This will be the last opportunity to post a qualifier for Athletics South’s Reunion Day Meet on Saturday 21 December (other than those events in which you can qualify on the day).
Congratulations Violet, breaking her own Club U/16 record.
